Vanderheiden powers to top-10 at Eagle Raceway

After a brief summer break, Cole Vanderheiden returned to action Saturday afternoon at Eagle Raceway, climbing back behind the wheel of his BradCo Companies No. 15V Sprint Car for the Days of Thunder Clash.

Despite a slow start to the evening, Vanderheiden rallied in the feature, charging forward seven positions to notch a 10th-place finish and a solid top-10 showing.

The following night, Vanderheiden took the reins of the Zach Davis Racing No. 3Z at Dawson County Speedway for the Malvern Bank 360 Sprints-sanctioned event. He secured a runner-up finish in his heat race to advance into the feature, where he was running in fourth before losing the front nose wing. The mishap dropped him back to a 12th-place finish at the checkers.
