Vanderheiden earns runner-up finish in US 36 Raceway visit
Cole Vanderheiden's visit to US 36 Raceway in Osborn, Missouri, on Friday, March 27, was almost perfect, concluding his IMCA Sprint Car appearance - his first start of 2026 - as the evening's runner-up, missing the top spot by less than a second. In fact, Vanderheiden, who calls Papillion, Nebraska, home, was just short in his respective heat race, as well, finishing second to Stuart Snyder after starting alongside his fellow Nebraska native on the front row. Snyder would race on to win the evening's IMCA main event, driving ahead from sixth on the grid.
There were 15 entries who made the call Friday night, joining the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series as the evening's support class.
